About

In this age of visual awareness it's important for all Golf Clubs to have web sites and photography that show off their course to its best, when it comes to photography I can be of assistance. I believe if you show great images of a course then golfers will come, I have.

I've been a professional photographer since the 1980s, where I worked in the corporate, business and magazine world.( Please take a look at the commercial and advertising folder to see a selection of this work. )  I've been an average golfer for twenty years with a few low level highlights, I once finished a round at Parkstone; par, birdie, birdie; and won my eldest daughter's school parents golf day, and recently went round in six over. I know small beer.

Combining two of my passions has allowed me to walk the fairways and really look at what surrounds us. Many times when playing we're so often in a hurry to find that lost ball or to keep up with our playing partners that the genuine beauty that surrounds us often passes us by. I've come to truly appreciate the genius of the early course designers; often they were given a heavily wooded area or a bare hilltop and from these unpromising tracts they managed to create a stunning course. Many have survived nearly untouched for a hundred years with just the tees being moved backwards. All golfers owe a debt of thanks to Braid, Colt, McKenzie, Dunn and Abercromby, to name but a few of the great designers.

I ask for a sensible day rate with the images becoming the courses after payment.

I look forward to discussing with you the possibility of photographing your course and capturing its unique quality.

I can supply quality prints of all my photographs.

“We asked Simon to come along to do some Photography. His images and golf course shots are really magnificent. Furthermore, the quality is superb. Well done. Andrew Tanner, Secretary, Tandridge Golf Club”

Simon's photographs really capture our course at its best. The photographs are of the highest quality and Simon used some very imaginative angles to show the holes in a completely fresh way.

“Having used a number of golf course photographers in my time as a Golf Club Manager, I think Simon offers something different, something special. He seems to deliver more than just a standard photo of hole or a green as his images capture light, shade and texture and this gives the viewer much more to look at than just grass. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Simon to anyone seeking golf course images.”
